Firefox Web Browser
I have been using the Firefox web browser
for quite a few years now.
Firefox is free to download and use.
Before that, I used the Netscape browser;
which, originally, was known as “MOSAIC.”
(MOSAIC was the very first Web browser.
It was developed in 1993
by Marc Andreesen and fellow students at
the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.)
Firefox is made by the same
“Mozilla” organization responsible for
the original Netscape browser.

Must-have Firefox Add-On Extensions:
NoScript - The best security you can get in a web browser! Allow
active content to run only from sites you trust, and protect yourself against
XSS and Clickjacking attacks. Winner of the "2006 PC World World Class Award", this
from trusted domains of your choice, e.g. your home-banking web site, guarding
your "trust boundaries" against cross-site scripting attacks (XSS),
cross-zone DNS rebinding / CSRF attacks (router hacking), and Clickjacking attempts, thanks to
its unique ClearClick technology. It also implements the DoNotTrack tracking
opt-out proposal by default, see http://snipurl.com/nsdntrack . Such a
preemptive approach prevents exploitation of security vulnerabilities (known
and even unknown!) with no loss of functionality.
Some Reasons Why You Should Be Using NoScript With Firefox
How to use the new ‘Web Extension’ NoScript version (10.1.1) with Firefox
uBlock Origin - An efficient Ad-blocker. Easy on CPU and memory. - [Could/should be used either as a replacement for -- or, in addition to -- AdBlock Plus.]https://addons.mozilla.org/En-us/firefox/addon/ublock-origin
Adblock Plus - Ever been annoyed by all those ads and banners on the internet that often take longer to download than everything else on the page? Install Adblock Plus now and get rid of them.
AdBlocker Ultimate - Free and improved ad blocker. Completely remove ALL ads. No "acceptable" ads or whitelisted advertisers, block tracking, block malware!https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblocker-ultimate
Ghostery - Protect your privacy. See who's tracking your web browsing and block them with Ghostery.https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ghostery/
Do Not Track Plus (aka: Blur) - Stops secret tracking of your web browsing. Do Not Track Plus blocks web beacons and other tracking technologies that advertisers use to track your browsing behavior. Easily see what trackers are in use at each website you visit and block any or all of them.https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/donottrackplus
‘Disconnect’ - And, The Sooner The Better! - On his Jan. 9, 2013, ‘Security Now!’ podcast, Steve Gibson highly recommended the ‘Disconnect’ plug-in/add-on for all Firefox, Safari and/or Chrome users. He noted that it stops those social-networking widgets (thumbnail icons) buttons that are now ubiquitous on the vast majority of web pages from cookie-tracking -- and profiling -- you wherever, and everywhere, you go across the Internet. He further noted that that when you visit ANY web page that merely has those widget icons present ALL the various social network sites (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.) automatically are tracking you...whether or not you actually click any of those icon buttons. He additionally noted that not only is it a privacy (profiling) issue, but that it is as big a security hole threat as Firesheep is/was...especially if you utilize any public Wi-Fi! --- Steve said that Disconnect is an adjunct to ‘Ghostery’...and other similar such as ‘Do No Track’...and does not replace it/them. --- [Note: You'll need to "Temporarily allow..." Disconnect.me in/with ‘NoScript’ in Firefox to download and install ‘Disconnect’. -- Bike Bob]: -
Google Analytics Blocker - Blocks Google Analytics in any website. If you do not want pages to analyze you, this extension is for you.https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/google-analytics-blocker
Privacy Badger - Protects your privacy by blocking spying ads and invisible trackers. - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/privacy-badger17
Link Cleaner - Cleans URLs that are about to be visited of “referrer” trackers.https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/link-cleaner
Remove Google Redirection - Prohibit click-tracking, and prevent url redirection when clicks on the result links in Google search pagehttps://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/remove-google-redirections

Should-have Firefox Add-on Extensions:
StartPage Search Engine - Doesn't store your IP address, use tracking cookies, or make a record of your searches.
ColorfulTabs - Colors every tab in a different color and makes them easy to distinguish while beautifying the overall appearance of the interface.
Download Manager (S3) - View and manage downloads from a tidy statusbar
Worldwide Radio - Listen to live radio stations from around the world! --- [Note: I've been using this Firefox extension for a while w/o any problem. There are only a couple of minor drawbacks. (1) Not all of the radio stations listed actually work. But, for the few dozen I have tested...many, if not most, of those listed do function. (2) However, not all radio stations are listed. Example: KBDZ 93.1 FM (Farmington, MO) -- which I have occasion to listen to online ( https://www.classicrock931.com/w-player.html ) for its 7pm to 9pm (Central) real ‘Classic Rock’ show -- does not (as of this writing) come up in the list. Nor is our local NPR radio station (KWMU 94.1 FM) here in St. Louis. Alternately, the NPR affiliate in Philadelphia (WHYY 91 FM) -- which carries "Fresh Air" -- is listed. --- (Tip: Once you load the extension into Firefox, use it to do a search for "Classic Rock" which should yield a list of at least over 30 U.S. stations to choose from. Again, at least currently, not all of them work; but, I've already got at least a dozen working Classic Rock FM radio stations marked as "favorite"...which I can easily switch between whenever any one of them is interrupted by an audio ad.) --Bike Bob]:https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/worldwide-radio
